Vince Carter’s NBA career is officially over and he influenced a lot of people over the years. Some of those people even followed in Carter’s footsteps and went on to play in the NBA and do great things.
One of those people happens to be Dwyane Wade.
On Tuesday night, Wade shared his favourite Vince Carter memory with Vince Carter himself and it goes back to before Wade’s NBA career even started.
Wade mentioned to Carter how he got to the arena early, without a ticket, in hopes of getting the chance to catch Carter warm-up and even play. Part of Carter’s pre-game warm-up routine ended up sticking with Wade, who went on to do the same thing before his NBA games.
Wade grew up watching Carter, went on to play against him in the NBA, and is now friends with the man who helped grow his love for the game.
