Ozark is quickly ascending up the Netflix power rankings as the TV drama starring Jason Bateman has received more and more attention. The Netflix production isn’t just earning the attention of drama savants, however. It has also recently garnered a second glance from CFL fans.
That’s because a familiar scene consistently appears in the background of scenes featuring the “Blue Cat Lodge”. While this would slide right by the eye of most, a few savvy CFL fans have taken it upon themselves to point out the familiar scene, which appears to favour towo teams in particular.
Well, Mr. O’leary, actually the Ticats DO appear on the show!
That’s right, while the plot unfolds in the show, there is a separate storyline happening in the background… THE BATTLE OF ONTARIO!
Whether this is somekind of rights issue, or whether using CFL clips benefits the show in some way is not immediately clear. Maybe the director just decided his characters were more “three down” people?
Whatever the case, it’s fun to see Ricky Ray and the rest of his band of CFLers making it to the screens within the screen.
