Goalie fights are the type of thing you want to set a google alert for so you never miss a single one.

It defies all logic, but for some reason they always tend to be some of the most active fights. You’d think that all the equipment would slow them down a bit, but they tend to make up for that by going full-tilt for the entirety of the fight.

Now, fair warning, this is not a goalie fight in the classic sense. It is instead, goalies fighting. In a line brawl between the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears and Florida Everglades, the two goalies joined in on the nonsense.

There are some punches thrown from goalie to goalie, but it’s mainly Alex Nedeljkovic throwing bombs at Ryan Massa while he’s under the dog pile.

As you can see in the video, that sent Massa into a craze as he equal parts tried to pump the crowd up and scare them to their core at the same time.

Massa may have been extra pumped up as he was in the middle of a 42-save shutout before the brawl broke out. Both goalies were given fighting majors and game misconducts for continuing and alteration, but there were less than 50 seconds remaining anyways.

Overall, the game finished with a total 182 penalty minutes – and they made every single one of them count.
