The St. Louis Blues are enjoying what has been quite a Cinderella season so far. With the latest development being a Western Conference Championship secured, punching a ticket to the Stanley Cup Final, it’s safe to say not many could have predicted this historic run.

While fantastic goaltending, a coaching change, and a revived offence can be attributed to some of the reasons why the Blues have turned their season around in such a dramatic way, they’ve also enjoyed the help of a good luck charm. Her name is Laila Anderson, and she’s awesome.

Laila lives with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, a life-threatening condition in where a patient’s immune system attacks the host’s tissues and organs. Laila has now completed her treatment, which is no walk in the park, and she’s now helping the Blues out with her undying fandom.

While some kids are shy and reserved, unsure how to act around their idols and cameras, Laila is the total opposite. She embraces the attention and has delivered a number of memorable moments with her poise and charisma. Following the St. Louis Blues’ Game 6 victory over the San Jose Sharks, the one that secured their trip to Boston, Laila delivered another few moments, one of which was a very professional interview of Alex Steen.

Somebody get this girl a full-time gig! Even as Steen kept trying to make the questions about her, she kept plowing through with hard-hitting questions and stout professionalism.

The Blues faithful loved it.
