Tempers flared inside the Staples Center on Saturday night between the Lakers and Rockets that resulted in ejections for Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram.

After teammates from both sides along with the referees diffused the situation, a report from NBA Insider Shams Charania reportedly that the beef carried on into the stands and became personal after a member of Rondo family confronted Chris Paul’s wife, Jada.

Jonathan Feigen, who covers the Rockets for the Houston Chronicle, tweeted that Paul was incensed after the game after finding out that his wife received “inappropriate remarks” from multiple people associated with Rondo’s camp.

Members from both sides have pointed the finger at each other, claiming that Rondo spat in the face of Paul, while others feel it was Paul was the one who caused the kerfuffle after poking and pushing the Lakers point guard in the face.

After Ingram pushed James Harden, a flurry of players came together with Rondo and Paul eventually getting face-to-face with each other before punches were exchanged, including Ingram coming into with a late haymaker.

Regardless of who's responsible, the NBA investigated the incident and could be handing out suspensions prior to the Clippers and Rockets game on Sunday.
