The Los Angeles Rams are heading to the Super Bowl, after Greg Zuerlein connected on field goals at the end of regulation and then overtime to tie and win the game respectively.

Before either of Zuerlein’s field goals, Saints fans were decrying a missed pass interference call that would’ve taken them inside the 10-yard line with 1:45 remaining — very likely giving them a chance to win the game then and there. And you can decide for yourself, but it seems to be a fairly obvious PI call — the video shows Nickell Robey-Coleman tackling Tommylee Lewis well before the ball arrives.

Saints fans weren’t pleased. The Saints weren’t pleased. Sean Payton, who was reportedly informed by the league office that the refs blew the call, surely wasn’t pleased.

Whether the call was missed or not, the results are in the book as a Rams win, and they’ll be off to the Super Bowl to face the winner of the Chiefs-Patriots game next week. We’re sure that this no-call will be on the minds of Saints fans even then, if not far longer.
