The New England Patriots are off to their 10^th Super Bowl in franchise history and as usual, it was a pretty polarizing AFC championship win.

Of course a team with this level of dominance over such a short period of time is going to bring out a lot of haters, but the refs didn’t make it any easier for their fan base. First of all, the Patriots were only called for one penalty all game against the Jags and it was a special-teams penalty.

Next you had this refs reaction to the Patriots win. Of course, we’re sure this isn’t that uncommon for referees to congratulate players after big wins like yesterdays, but the fact that this referee was the first person to congratulate Brady gave Patriots haters even more material to make jokes.

This kind of moment actually happened twice in the game as fans across the internet were sharing screenshots of this moment when a ref had a big smile on his face after a Patriots touchdown.
