We know that all hockey players have their own quirky pregame rituals, but we’ve never seen one that’s quite as interesting as the way that the Nashville Predators’ Filip Forsberg  tapes his socks.

In a great display of finesse and unbelievable convenience, Forsberg totally bypasses the dreaded but inevitable teeth rip, and in one figure eight motion, tapes not one, but BOTH of his socks.

Magical.

The Preds’ offensive weapon has become notorious for his unbelievable hands over the past couple of years, putting up around 60 points for the last four consecutive seasons. His flashy and inventive style of play is unpredictable and impressive, so while we’re dazzled by by this socktape witchcraft, we can’t say were surprised that his dressing room tricks are just as filthy as his on ice ones.

While we assume that Forsberg doesn’t clock the same amount of hours practicing his sock taping skills and his stick handling abilities, we’re pretty sure that there’s been a solid amount of effort put into practicing this taping maneuver.

While we don’t think we can pull off any of the moves Filip does with a stick and a puck, we’re definitely going to be trying this one out in our beer league games this week.
