It was only a matter of time before these two started popping off again.

Exactly one year and two days removed from their super fight, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are letting the words fly.

McGregor, of course, is slated to face Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on October 6 for the UFC lightweight championship title.

TMZ Sports caught up with Mayweather where he told reporters that "when McGregor gets to Las Vegas ... I know UFC got a training facility, but we'd like for him to work out at the Mayweather Boxing Club."

“The Notorious” Irishman stayed on-brand in his response, offering up a parting shot at the entire Mayweather family minus Floyd Sr. and Roger, brother of Floyd Sr. and uncle of Floyd Jr. The following tweet contains NSFW language.

And in typical Mayweather-fashion, the retired boxer responded to McGregor's profanity-laced tweet (although not directly) with a photo from their fight and a caption that runs parallel to his “money” nickname.

Oh it's on now.

The two fighters have hinted at a possible rematch, although it seems unlikely as Mayweather would likely never agree to fight Mayweather inside an octagon rather than a boxing ring.
