Baseball coming back to the city of Montreal has been a talking point ever since the Expos left after the 2004 season and recently, there have been some interesting conversations about baseball in Montreal.

Recently, the Rays' owner made his desire to have his team split games between Tampa Bay in Montreal known and on Wednesday, something unrelated that news item, but related to the Expos in particular came up as the Nationals announced they'll be rocking an old school Montreal jersey for the first time ever.

July 6th is when the Nationals will dawn the powder blue uniforms from the Expos' inaugural season in 1969 and that won't be the only unique thing Washington will be doing for that game.

The Nats apparently will stay true to the Expos game-day experience all the way down to the food items that will be served as specialty dishes such as poutine and Montreal smoked beef brisket sandwiches will be available for fans to enjoy.

Between this first and the talk of the Rays wanting to play games in Montreal, it seems like things are rolling in the right direction as far as getting a team back in another Canadian city permanently goes and we couldn't be more excited about that.
