During his 14-year career in the NBA, Stephen Jackson established a reputation as one of those blunt old heads not to be crossed. Even after retirement, Jackson has kept it very real as an occasional personality on ESPN’s basketball shows.

So, it should come as little surprise that Jackson didn’t mince words when offering his thoughts on the revelation that LeBron James played the Finals with what was essentially a broken hand. Specifically, he took issue with the timing of the reveal, when LeBron walked out of Game 4 with a cast on his hand.

Pointing out that LeBron was throwing down dunks off the backboard with his supposedly broken hand in Game 3, Jackson derides the injury as “fake stuff.” There really is a bit of the Pusha T tone here.

For the conspiracy theorists, we’ll simply note that ESPN first reported the injury after Game 4, and shortly after, LeBron acknowledged the injury for the first time with his cast during post-game pressers. The story goes that he suffered the injury by punching a blackboard after the Game 1 loss.

We won’t try to connect any dots here for ourselves. Seems like Stephen Jackson has that covered.
