Not only is he a brilliant soccer player, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also quite the character. The LA Galaxy signed the 36 year old to a two-year, $3 million contract earlier this year, and while he’s been productive on the field, they may not have expected to wring so much value out of him away from it.
You see, Ibrahimovic has also been the Galaxy’s best season tickets sales rep. He’s been reaching out to Galaxy season ticket holders, building on those pre-existing relationships to keep fans bought in, and, well, you can imagine what it’d be like to be a fan getting an unexpected email from Zlatan, right?
Short, sweet and to the point. How can you say no to Zlatan?
One-liner emails haven’t been the extent of Ibrahimovic’s commitment to bringing season ticket holders back. He’s also been proactive on the phone lines, personally thanking fans who have already renewed for 2019.
Nothing against any of the other sales staff working for the Galaxy, but let’s just say that Ibrahimovic has an unfair advantage.
