When the Washington Capitals are on the power play, every opposing player and goalie knows that the puck is going to Alexander Ovechkin.

Yet, no matter how hard teams try to stop the Capitals from getting the puck to him, it always finds its way to Ovi's stick and once the puck finds his stick, it usually ends up in the back of the net next.

Most of Ovechkin's power play goals are in the form of the one-timer, and even though goalies know its coming, his shot is so good that they just can't stop it.

Although Washington wasn't bust on #TradeCentre day, they were busy in the days leading up to the deadline as they acquired the biggest fish of trade season, Kevin Shattenkirk.

Wednesday at practice, the newest Cap was perfecting his timing for the one-timer with Ovi, and opposing goalies should be afraid, very afraid.

Shattenkirk is a big time addition for the Capitals, especially on the power play.

His 20 power play points, 11 goals, 31 assists, and 42 points this season lead all Washington defenceman, and we imagine he'll be getting a lot more assists once the one-time timing with Ovi is down.

While Shattenkirk was held off the scoresheet in his first game as a Capital, they did beat the Rangers 4-1.
