There’s nothing better than a good old goalie fight.

In a North American 3 Hockey League game between the Willmar WarHawks and Granite City Lumberjacks, Warhawks goaltender Luke Fry and Lumberjacks netminder David Mulligan dropped the mitts in a heavyweight fight. Rather than intervening, the refs decided to sit back and enjoy the action.

Talk about an even tilt.

For those unaware with the league, the NA3HL is an Amrerican Tier III junior ice hockey league that consists of 47 teams. Fry could be seen fighting in the darker jersey, while Mulligan was in the white. Mulligan and the Lumberjacks ultimately won the game 6-2 and both goaltenders received game misconducts for fighting.

Fry and Mulligan are just two of many goalies to have thrown fists with one another this year. In a USPHL game between the Dell Ducks and Chicago Cougars, goaltenders Corbin Moore and Alex Jones squared off in a massive tilt.

A couple of Lacrosse goalies even got in on the action earlier this year, too.

The NHL hasn’t seen any goalie fights take place this season, but time will tell if two will build up the courage to leave their crease and square off against one another.
