The end of summer is quickly approaching which means hockey season is right around the corner.

On Thursday night the Great Lakes Loons, the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, hosted the Dayton Dragons, and it happened to be the Loons’ Hockey Night with the Saginaw Spirit. As a result of the promotional theme night, the hosts hit the field looking a little different than usual as they were wearing Spirit-themed uniforms for the contest.

The start of the game was a little delayed because of the weather, but at least the fans who attended the game had members of the Spirit in attendance to help keep them company and entertained during the rain delay.

A little bit of hockey and a lot of baseball, sounds like a pretty good night if you’re asking us.
