Just admit it, you've had this date marked down in your calendars for two weeks now.  We all know why we're here on this lovely Friday (February 8th) and it's to rank mascots from around the sports world.

Every two weeks, our resident mascot expert "Masc-Scott" sends us BarDown Mascot Power Rankings and we share them with the world.  A couple of things to note before complaining if you're new to the rankings, they're not based on popularity, but rather what the mascots have done in the two weeks in between rankings.

Since the rankings returned, Gritty has been at the top all but once.  Harvey The Hound of the Calgary Flames is in the Hall of Fame as the only mascot to knock Gritty off the throne, but will the Flyers' mascot get its revenge this time around?  Let's find out!

10. Gnash, Nashville Predators (Up 15 spots)

Gnash knows how to play the social media game better than most mascots and that ability has got the Preds' mascot in the top ten once again.

9. Benny The Bull, Chicago Bulls (Down 5 spots)

Benny The Bull is a model of consistency in the rankings and clearly spreads happiness to fans of all ages!

8. Bernie, Colorado Avalanche (No Change)

The biggest hit of All-Star weekend was delivered by none other than Colorado's mascot, Bernie.

7. Carlton The Bear, Toronto Maple Leafs (Up 8 spots)

Because the #10YearChallenge is SO overrated.

6. Puff Dog and Sir Round CC, Cleveland Cavaliers (Up 1000 spots)

Nobody enjoys getting scared, but everyone enjoys watching mascots scare other people.

5. Slamson The Lion, Sacramento Kings (Up 73 spots)

One of the new challenges on social media is the #SkibidiChallenge and Slamson and the Kings' dancers absolutely crushed the challenge.

4. SJ Sharkie, San Jose Sharks (Up 67 spots)

The NHL All-Star game was in San Jose and SJ Sharkie showed out in front of the home town crowd to give the Western Conference the win.

3. Pat Patriot, New England Patriots (Up 1 spot)

"Masc-Scott" rewards winning mascots and not only did Pat Patriot win this past weekend in the Super Bowl, but New England's mascot didn't let the hit he took from Jamal Adams at the Pro Bowl stop it from being at the game.

2. Gritty, Philadelphia Flyers (No Change)

Between the Super Bowl and All-Star weekend, Gritty has "Masc-Scott" howling multiple times, but in a shocking turn of events, the Flyers' mascot didn't crack the top spot.

1. The Coyote, San Antonio Spurs (Up 98 spots)

"Batyote" is the hero we need, but definitely don't deserve.
