Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael McNiven learned about Shea Weber's slap-shot the hard way during a Habs skate.

Weber's been clocked in at 108.5 mile per hour before(!) so you can imagine what taking a clapper to the face from him would feel like. Imagining is one thing... but actually having it happen to you is another. Weber absolutely unloaded a howitzer near the blue line that went through the 23-year-old's cage. McNiven was okay after but he'll have a reminder on his cheek from the incident for the rest of his life.

Jeez... as for the shot, it was an absolute banger.

According to his Instagram caption, McNiven ad to receive 10 stiches. Don't forget that he had a helmet on!

Thankfully he's okay, but that definitely could have been worse.
