Ladies and gentlemen, we finally know who will be representing Team Canada at this year’s World Junior Hockey Championship.

On Friday afternoon, Hockey Canada announced its 25-man roster and let us tell you… It. Is. STACKED! In fact, 20 of the 25 skaters selected are first round draft picks, and not a single draft eligible player will be lacing’em up in Edmonton or the Canucks in a few weeks’ time. Seeing as us Canadians take so much pride in this tournament, and we haven’t seen live hockey for some time now, you better believe the country is fired up watch their lads in action.

Two Newfoundlanders? That’s what we like to see!

Lots to take in on this roster. Of the 25 players, six are gold medal returnees. Seven players that were cut last year (including Cole Perfetti from YOUR Winnipeg Jets) will be looking for some redemption this time around, and as we mentioned earlier… 20 FIRST-ROUNDERS!!!!

This really is the most wonderful time of year. What are your thoughts on the squad, and who do you think should have made it that got cut?
