Vegas Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault isn’t the biggest player, but he’s managed to find success in the NHL in other ways.

An undrafted free agent, the 27-year-old spent four years in the AHL before finally leap-frogging his way to hockey’s ultimate platform. Marchessault shares his team’s lead in points with 19 heading into Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, and while his above average shooting and skating ability have contributed to his success, his teammate Alex Tuch has credited something else. That “something” isn’t a skillset, but rather, an actual part of his body. When asked about the key to his game, Tuch insisted his rear end has something to do with it.

When you stand at just 5’9 174 pounds, you need to use pretty much every part of your body in order to succeed. Marchessault’s “asset” is clearly a contributing factor to his strong skating and ability to bounce off of opponents.

With all this said, you don’t make it to the league as an undersized forward without a burning competitive edge. The Canadian displayed just that after insisting his team wasn’t satisfied after a series-clinching win over the Winnipeg Jets sent them to the Stanley Cup Final.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Marchessault using his “asset” as the series progresses.
