It seems more and more like Seattle will be the 32nd team to join the NHL.

They appear to be following the same path that the Vegas Golden Knights did a couple years ago, and the mayor of Seattle says that it is the “best path to recruiting and bringing an NHL team to Seattle”. Mayor Jenny Durkan shared a massive Twitter thread on Tuesday and in the middle of it she brought up the latest step they have taken.

Apparently, on March 1, their season ticket drive will begin.

Obviously, for people excited and angry about the potential for a Seattle NHL team, this was a pretty big moment. Their filing fee for this submission was $10 million. Not only that, but the team could be here pretty soon.

When the Golden Knights started their season-ticket drive, it was February 10, 2015. About two and half years later and they were playing NHL games.

So, fans are really starting to realize how probable this is.
