Taylor Hall has been playing at an elite level this season and if it were up to his teammates, he’d likely be awarded the Hart Trophy.

Hall continued his impressive campaign with a two-goal performance against the New York Islanders. The markers contributed to a 4-3 Devils win and secured the team’s position in the Eastern Conference’s final Wild-Card spot.

Devils rookie Blake Coleman touched on Hall’s role following the game and provided a unique description of him as a player. He went on to call the Devils' leading scorer “inspiring,” "world-class," and insisted the team will be riding him the rest of the season.

Heading into tonight’s action, Hall led New Jersey with 38 more points than any other player (88). 2017 first overall pick Nico Hischier sat second with 50.

It’s been a season full of great moments for Hall, and he’ll be expected to lead the way for a Devils team that hasn’t cracked the postseason since their Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2012. Hall himself has yet to participate in a NHL playoff series, so it’ll be interesting to see how he performs if New Jersey can get there. As it stands, Boston is looking like their likeliest first round opponent.
