He’s one of the greatest personalities ever seen in the game of hockey.

Ilya Bryzgalov was and is still a broadcasters and reporter’s dream, as the goaltender literally became a human quote machine during his 10-year tenure in the NHL.

From wondering why everyone “HAFF” to be mad, to pondering about the universe and being afraid of bears in the forest, the man they calL “Bryz” was the complete opposite of the mundane, cliché, boring personalities that hockey players are associated with.

The fun, eccentric and enigmatic goaltender proposed a really important question to the Twitter world on Tuesday. It’s a question that we’ve all contemplated at one point at our lives.

At what point does a banana become too bruised to eat, or more specifically, would you eat this particular banana?

The responses were pretty spot on.

If it was up to us, we’d probably throw it in the freezer and let it sit for six months and tell ourselves we’ll eventually make banana bread with it at some point (but probably not).

Goalies are something else, man, but boy do they ever provide some great content.

Never change, Bryz, never change.
