Dion Phaneuf is enjoying life as an Ottawa Senator.

The former Toronto Maple Leafs captain has carved a nice role for himself on the Sens’ blue line, and has noticeably been in the spotlight far less than he was with his old team, too.

Before moving to Ottawa, Phaneuf had appeared in five career playoff series with Toronto and the Calgary Flames, however, he did not win a single one with either team. This year has been a different story, as he has already won two and is fighting for a chance to compete in the Stanley Cup finals.

The only other player who has not advanced to the second round with five playoff appearances is Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno.

The 2016 acquisition has looked like a great move for both the Sens, and their relatively new d-man.
