It turns out one of the NFL’s top safeties is a Dallas Stars fan.

The New York Jets have kicked off camp and as it turns out, their captain on defence is a supporter of Texas' lone NHL team. Jamal Adams was born in Lewisville, Texas and attended Hebron High School in Carrolton before heading to LSU, was.spotted with some ink on his right quad in the form of a Dallas Stars logo. A fan was quick to point the piece out on Twitter

Think we know one BarDownski with ink who should be in support of this one… We’ll let you guess who it is.

It’s a good thing Adams stuck to the new logo!

This is some pretty nice publicity for the Stars, especially when you consider just how popular Adams has become through his first two seasons. The 2017 sixth overall pick was voted as the 37th best player in the league on the NFL’s top 100 list after making his first Pro Bowl last season. Adams checked in at number 20 on Pro Football Focus’ top 101 list.

It turns out that Adams isn’t the only NFLer with a little NHL ink. Well, at least a former NFLer also had some. Wide receiver Austin Pettis spent three seasons with the St. Louis Rams and quickly became known as the dude with the massive Mighty Ducks logo on the back of his neck. One of the best tattoos in sports… period.

It’s always nice seeing athletes show some love for other leagues. Nice ink Jamal!
