He can go platinum with no features, and he can get buckets against NBAers as well. J. Cole has been a participant in some of the NBA pick-up runs hosted by the basketball trainer Chris Brickley, and from the looks of things, he has enough game to hang with the best.

In this video, J. Cole is blowing past NBAers, pulling up for threes and even directing his teammates for the dime. We think we spot C.J. McCollum, Carmelo Anthony, Trae Young, Kelly Oubre, J.R. Smith and more.

Pick-up runs are just pick-up runs, but this looks different from what we’re used to seeing in, say, the All-Star Weekend celebrity games. If you’re up on your J. Cole knowledge, you may remember his first few releases as an artist had a basketball theme too — The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights, The Sideline Story.

At this year’s All-Star Weekend, J. Cole wasn’t able to get quite enough air for a dunk under the bright lights. Still, though, you can tell this guy can hoop.
