If you didn’t know who the Paul brothers were before, you likely do now. They’ve gone from the world of professional YouTube-ing squarely into the boxing scene, but not exactly the legitimate boxing scene.
Logan and Jake Paul have taken up boxing fellow YouTubers, retired UFC fighters, and retired NBA players in large-buzz, little-respect bouts. On June 6th, we’ll get to see Logan Paul actually take on a legitimate (albeit old) boxer in Floyd Mayweather. There’s no disputing Mayweather, who is undefeated in his legendary boxing career.
Ahead of the event, the media will only ramp up. On Thursday, we saw a media day flare up as Jake Paul confronted Floyd Mayweather in a very unsurprisingly dramatic moment involving a stolen hat.
Apparently Jake got the worst of it, as he appeared later on with a black eye, presumably from the scuffle.
Paul has since made his Twitter name “GOTCHA HAT,” but it sounds like Mayweather got more than enough redemption.
Can’t help but feel like there’s a “Got your nose!” similarity here. You know, like father’s stealing their 3-year-old son’s nose.
