Some guy was either looking for attention, has horrible eyesight, or found Jake Virtanen’s doppelganger last night.
A Tweeter by the name of Trevor Knapp took it upon himself to share a pretty gutless tweet about the Vancouver Canucks forward. According to Knapp, Virtanen was at a local bar called the ‘Roxy’ last night where he was “scoring a bunch of women”. To make it all worse, he actually went there and compared it to his play on the ice. Virtanen wasn’t going to let this one slide, and made sure to call out his troll shortly after.
(The tweet has since been deleted).
That’s just awful. But, at least fans were siding with the forward in the thread.
Some NHL players just can’t let these types of things slide, and Virtanen’s actually looks tame when you compare it to some other notable incidents from the past. Take Brad Marchand for example, who turned into a full-on internet bully after someone trolled him on Twitter.
People really need to just lay off of NHLers online.
