The Texas Rangers fell short against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon but they’ve been one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games.

The team will look to get back into the win column as they open up a three-game series at home with the San Diego Padres and they’re going to have some special guests on hand for the opening game of the series. Ahead of Monday night’s game, the Rangers were joined at batting and fielding practice by Dallas Stars Jamie Benn, Ben Bishop and Stephen Johns.

The guys all looked the part as they seemed to be naturals behind the plate.

The three Stars players are in attendance for Monday’s game as it happens to be Dallas Stars Night at the ballpark, which also means the fans will be going home with a special souvenir. As part of the special night, Rangers fans had a chance to purchase special ticket packages that come with a limited edition Dallas Stars/Texas Rangers co-branded cap.

The Rangers won three of the four meetings against the Padres last season.
