The baseball season is right around the corner and the one thing Blue Jays fans are looking forward to most for the 2019 season is seeing baseball's top prospect, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., play with the big club for the first time.

The 19-year-old has been dominating in the minors for the past two seasons and with the Jays' roster currently lacking a lot of top-end talent, it's understandable why so many are excited to see Vlad make his debut.  Not everyone thinks he's ready, though, and apparently one of those people is Toronto GM Ross Atkins:

 

 

Is Vladdy Jr. a major leaguer right now? GM Ross Atkins doesn’t think so.

That's the exact opposite message Jays fans were hoping to hear from their team's GM about the most exciting prospect in baseball.  Of course, there are reasons for Atkins saying this, one of which could be this:
At this point, nobody knows when Atkins will bring up Vlad, but it's pretty clear he won't be in the opening day lineup for the Blue Birds.
