It’s a tough time to be a sports fan as the whole sports world has basically come to a full stop. While athletes, coaches, and fan alike are practicing their social distancing, some athletes are still doing what they can to help out those on the front lines.

Recently, Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel announced that he would be donating 5,000 facial masks to hospitals in Western New York with the help of Bauer. Teammate Jeff Skinner also announced that he’d be making a hefty donation, contributing $53,000 to healthcare workers through a fund set up by team owners Kim and Terry Pegula.

When something so drastic happens worldwide, it’s nice to see people band together and do what they can to help out. Hopefully all these efforts bring a quicker end to all this madness.
