The Blue Jackets are off to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and everyone in Columbus is absolutely pumped up. One of the classic ways athletes or coaches express how "pumped" they are is with the fist pump.
Some fist pumps are subtle and can actually be just as impactful as the multiple wind up fist pumps, but we love seeing the over dramatic ones and John Tortorella, along with his coaching staff, were more than happy to provide the hockey world with some.
This celebration came after one of the three empty net goals Columbus scored to punch its ticket to the next round. Torts wasn't as pumped as some of his other behind the bench celebrations, but it was close.
As the Blue Jackets go deeper into the playoffs, the celebrations are only going to get better, so long as the Blue Jackets continue to win.
