Happy Trade Deadline Day everyone!!
As hockey fans know, trade deadline day you have to expect the unexpected. The final day of team-to-team transactions is where GM’s push in their chips, or sell the whole farm, and it’s where teams are made or broken as they prepare for playoff hockey.
Saying that, NOBODY was prepared for what many believed to be happening approximately midway through the day when Calgary Flames star Johnny Gaudreau left practice unexpectedly. Apparently the practice was still happening when suddenly Johnny Hockey hit the dressing room and didn’t return. Many immediately jumped to the conclusion that he had left the ice for what’s called “asset protection”.
In other words, JOHNNY HOCKEY IS GETTING TRADED.
As it turns out, he had a different reason for leaving the ice early…
