Who needs the NBA Awards anyhow?

NBA on TNT has become a master broadcaster when it comes to awarding NBA players with honours. On Monday, we saw Jordan Clarkson win Sixth Man of the Year by way of a heartwarming surprise. While on the broadcast with the TNT panel, teammate Joe Ingles suddenly revealed that Clarkson had won the award.

To make the moment even more special, Ingles had also been a finalist.

On Tuesday, we were treated to another surprise by the NBA on TNT crew. Julius Randle, the heavy favourite for Most Improved Player in 2020-21, was officially given the honour. In order to make the moment extra wholesome, Randle’s son Kyden delivered the trophy.

NBA on TNT is all about the surprises these days, it seems. Even Shaq got a surprise!

And then there was this from last year…

Just keep ‘em coming. We will not complain.
