Kawhi Leonard has always been a guy that embodies the phrase “actions speak louder than words.”

Kawhi isn’t much of a trash-talker, instead he sticks it to you by beating you on the court. In fact, he isn’t much of a talker at all. The notably shy forward is devastating on the hardwood, but sometimes when he’s in a scrum you just want to pull him out of there and leave a sneering “leave him alone!” to all the nosey reporters in his face.

On Monday, it was announced that Kawhi would be making a difference through action in a completely different way. In hopes of helping underserved communities with footwear, Kawhi pledged to donate over 12,000 pairs of his signature shoe to Soles4Souls, an organization that will then distribute them globally.

New Balance is set to release its “My Story Matters” collection in support of Black History Month. In addition, New Balance is committed to support the Black Talent in Design & Fashion Fund by funding 15 scholarships.

Thanks to Kawhi, over 12,000 kids will get to walk a mile in his shoes. Literally.
