The name everyone is interested in on this Trade Deadline day is Mark Stone of the Senators.  The 26-year-old hasn't signed an extension with the Senators and if he doesn't intend to, it's definitely in Ottawa's best interest to trade him before the deadline.

As much as it would be in their best interest to get something for Stone rather than hang on to him and let him walk in the summer for nothing, it obviously wouldn't be good for their team as a whole to lose a player like Stone.  Sunday, Keith Tkachuk (former NHLer and Brady's day) explained why he wants the Sens to sign Stone "so badly."

Stone is so valuable because he's such a complete player and for a player like Brady Tkachuk, Stone is the perfect player to learn from and try and model your game after.

With the Senators in rebuild-mode, Stone would provide an incredible amount of leadership and help the development of the team's talented, young players.  If they can't sign him, though, it'll be on the young players to step up because the Sens have already traded two of their top three scorers this season.
