How do you throw a retirement party for one of the greatest players in NBA history? Easy, have a star-studded guest list that includes people who have reached the same heights as the man of the hour, Kobe Bean Bryant.

Monday, the Lakers celebrated Bryant's career by officially retiring both of the numbers that he wore during his time in Los Angeles. Something that's never been done in NBA history. Among the guests that were invited to Bryant's retirement party were fellow Lakers legends Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson and Jerry West. NBA royalty Bill Russell, as well hip-hop superstar and Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar.

As part of the festivities, Kendrick performed on-stage, giving a special shoutout to the Los Angeles sports icon.

Russell. Magic. Shaq. The Logo. Kendrick. It was a good night. #ko8e24 #partyparty

This isn't the first time that Kendrick payed homage to Bryant, as the Los Angeles artist was featured in a special farewell piece produced by ESPN during the Lakers guard's final season.

Bryant's yearlong retirement tour brought up some fond memories of the Lakers legend, but we think out of all the videos that were produced in the past two years that have celebrated his career, we like this one the most!

Would've been nice to see a K.Dot feature in here, too.
