It’s no secret that the NBA has become a league of super teams. Generally speaking, there are a few teams at the beginning of the year that most basketball fans agree will be very hard to beat. That status is often achieved when a team manages to lure two or three bigtime stars to compete alongside each other for a title.

It’s also no secret that the Brooklyn Nets are getting there.

After years of mediocrity in the East, the Nets are primed and ready to begin a season that could define the team for years to come. They ate Kevin Durant’s injury season with the hopes that he would return to dominate alongside Kyrie Irving, and the star power may not end there.

For the last few weeks, there have been some heavy rumours swirling around Houston Rockets star James Harden joining the Nets. He turned down a record-setting extension offer from the Rockets, further indicating that he could be on his way out.

When Durant was pressed on the subject, and questioned about his rumoured involvement, KD didn’t try to hide his irritation.

It would be frustrating to be a star player and have to endure all the rumours, no matter how real or false they are. A lot of basketball fans are surprised Harden hasn’t been sent to Brooklyn as it is, so maybe it’s not so crazy to think of him playing elsewhere next seasons.
