The Oakland Raiders seemed uninterested in meeting the contract demands of 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack, so on Saturday morning, they shipped him off to the Chicago Bears.

It didn’t take long for the Bears to pay up! While the football world may still be reverberating from the bonkers contract that Aaron Rodgers signed earlier this week, Mack hasn’t done too poorly for himself, either.

He becomes the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history after signing a six-year, $141 million extension with $90 million in guaranteed money — breaking the record set just two days ago by Aaron Donald.

Everybody is making Aaron Donald jokes.
