This summer, one of the biggest names on the market will be Ilya Kovalchuk, who hasn't played in the NHL since the 2012/13 season when he was with the New Jersey Devils.

The 34-year-old confirmed he was coming back to the NHL this summer to Match TV (a Russian state sports channel) and also revealed his motivations for wanting to come back.

We would understand if some teams would be hesitant to sign Kovalchuk in the summer, but his motivations for wanting to come back and play in the NHL could put teams and fans at ease.

Plus, he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, either, as he has recorded his second-highest point total of his KHL career this past season.

So, which team do you think will sign Kovalchuk?  Let us know by tweeting us @BarDown and in the comments!
