Uncle Drew might be the greatest prank video of all time and it’s inspired an entire genre of video on the internet, but now it inspired an entire movie.
It all started as a prank video in which Irving was done up in makeup and costume to look like an old man and he went to hang out at a pickup basketball game. A plant in the game that was supposed to be Uncle Drew’s nephew eventually calls him in and after taking a couple brutal shots, he starts to dominate the game.
For the movie, they take it to the next level.
Obviously you can see the end of the trailer where it lists the NBA stars in the movie including Shaq, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson and Irving, but you can see they’ll have some current talent as well with Aaron Gordon featuring in one of the highlights.
