Lawson Crouse has yet to live up to his first round status, but the Arizona Coyotes project is just 20 years old and still has time to blossom into a regular NHL player. When you compare him to thriving rookie Mathew Barzal, though, Florida’s pick in the 2015 entry doesn’t exactly look so good.

James Mirtle sparked a heated Twitter exchange after he questioned why the Islanders forward fell to the 16th overall pick.

A hockey fan who literally goes by the username ‘Victims of Lawson Crouse’ responded to Mirtle’s tweet by pointing out that Arizona deserves its share of criticism for selecting Crouse over the coveted forward.

Many players would likely express anger after seeing a tweet of such sorts, but Crouse remained cool as a cucumber. Rather than freaking out, the 6’4, 220 pound giant reminded the fan that he was actually selected with the 11th pick, not the 10th.

Judging by the amount of likes the tweet had, the subtle approach was probably the right way to go. Crouse had scored just six goals and seven assists in 83 NHL games but is having a respectable year with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners. Let this serve social media users as a reminder that Crouse probably isn’t the best guy to go after on Twitter.
