It's September 25th and William Nylander still hasn't signed a contract with the Leafs, who open their season on October 3rd against the Canadiens.

It seems like it's only a matter of time before the RFA signs a deal with Toronto, but with each day that passes, fans get more and more nervous about the entire situation.  Of course, it doesn't help when fake tweets go viral because fans freak out even more, as you'll soon see:

According to this fan, William Nylander tweeted this (in response to his contract status), then deleted it immediately.

As some pointed out, though, there are a couple of things that stand out that prove this "tweet" is fake.

Furthermore, you'd think that if Nylander actually tweeted this out, more people would have taken a screenshot of it considering people have tweet notifications for Nylander and such.

Either way, there's no need to freak out Leaf fans, things will work themselves out, especially now that other RFAs are signing their deals.
