It's never quite an away game when the Maple Leafs travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres.

The Leafs have a large fanbase that stretches from coast-to-coast that also shows up in numbers when they play across the border. This we know. But that doesn't make it any less surprising when traveling Leafs fans outnumber the home fans in an NHL arena.

Monday, the Leafs made the short trip to Buffalo to play the Sabres, and a number of Buds fans did as well.

Despite the large Leafs contingent, Toronto fell behind early, leading to a pretty solid joke from Gord Miller... 

 

 


It was reported that tickets were going for as low as $13.95 (USD), so it's no real surprise, as $13.95 in Toronto wouldn't buy you a plate of nachos.
