LeBron James shocked the world when he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, and perhaps cognizant of this, he’s mostly kept under the radar this summer to avoid stirring even more controversy over his latest decision.

We’re in August now, though, so the free agency hangover is fading and we’ve all had some time to process, as much as we can, the reality that LeBron’s a Laker. It’s a good time, basically, for LeBron to begin leaning into it, as he did on Wednesday when he suited up for his NBA 2K shoot.

There are many ways in which the reveal could’ve been made corny. We think LeBron, pointing and laughing about it, is decidedly not corny, and, in fact, hilarious. This will make for a good photo to text your friends whenever they mouth off with their bad opinions.

Also: You see those Kobe 1s? Those are nice, and they’re custom, and they’re especially great, because as you can see, they say “I’m King” on the back.

Is LeBron paying homage to a Laker legend or ruthlessly dunking on him? Both at once? We’re not sure.

We should expect to start seeing more of LeBron soon as the preseason media cycle soon begins, and, especially, if his other projects continue to move forward. Notably, his LeBron James Family Foundation recently opened the I Promise School for at-risk children, and, of course, the status of his Space Jam sequel appears to have taken another step forward.

It looks like LeBron James' Space Jam sequel may be one step closer to happening 👀
