Lewis Hamilton’s week down in Sao Paulo, Brazil hasn’t gotten off to a great start, but the winner of last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix can change that all on Sunday with a podium finish.

On Friday night, personnel from Hamilton’s Mercedes racing team were held up and robbed at gunpoint in their team van of their passports and watches while driving home from the Interlagos race track.

Then on Saturday, Hamilton crashed his car on the very first lap in qualifying into Interlagos' Turn 7 barriers and will be forced to start Sunday’s race at the very back of the field.

On a double right-hand corner, Hamilton spun out going upwards of 160 miles an hour and crashed hard into a wall. Thankfully, he escaped the crash scot-free without any severe injuries. His car did not, though.

Hamilton, who currently sits atop of the F1 leaderboards with 9 wins this season with 12 podium finishes, won his fourth Formula One championship two weeks ago in Mexico. He'll be be hard-pressed to grab a podium spot despite finishing in the top three in the previous three Brazilian GP.

You can watch the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday morning at 11am eastern on TSN2.
