Vintage athlete songs are some of the best videos on the internet and the latest discovery is no different.
Blue Jays blogger and GIF extraordinaire Ian Hunter found a video on YouTube that was posted less than 24 hours ago of a video that has been absent from the web for a long time. A search of “Blue Jays This Land is Your Land” on YouTube has few relevant results and as Hunter points out, he has been searching for the video for years.
Well, here it is and it ranks among the best vintage athlete videos of all time.
Of course, there are several others that are historic, with the most notable being the Bears Super Bowl Shuffle, but for Blue Jays fans, the Catch the Taste Roberto Alomar commercial is probably the best.
The hockey teams got in on the early ‘90s fun too, with this “Leafs are the Best” video.
Basically every athlete doubled as a musician in the ‘90s and we miss it a great deal.
