It goes without a doubt to say that dreams do come true at the NFL Draft.

As for long snapper Thomas Fletcher, his dreams coming true wasn’t anything short of magical.

The Alabama alumni was set to believe he’d continue his football career as an undrafted rookie free agent following the NFL Draft this past weekend, the Carolina Panthers switched things up a bit as they drafted him in the sixth round.

Coach Matt Rhule completely caught Fletcher off-guard as he announced the news to him.

Rhule: “You coming or what?”

Fletcher: “Trying to figure it out right now.”

Rhule: “No, no, no, no! I just drafted you! You coming or what!?”

Fletcher: “Are you f------ kidding me!?”

Fletcher’s reaction is just completely priceless and gets even better when he talks to Panthers owner David Tepper.

Telling the owner of the team that just drafted you that you’ll not only walk your happy a-- to Carolina but that you’ll go on hands and knees has to be the biggest level of commitment we have heard from a draft pick.

And better yet, Fletcher says the word “golly” within his excitement-filled response. You gotta love this guy.

It’s important to note that within the past six NFL Drafts, only one long snapper has been drafted each year so Fletcher probably didn’t have his expectations set too high going into the draft.

During this past year’s Reese’s Senior Bowl, Fletcher and Rhule were able to connect, which gave the Roll Tide Alum the mindset that Carolina was the place for him to go.
