Sixteen years ago Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris released “Welcome to Atlanta” and the single became a pretty big hit. From there Dupri went on produce an official remix of the song “Welcome to Atlanta (Coast 2 Coast Remix)” which featured P. Diddy, Murphy Lee and Snoop Dogg.

With the Atlanta Falcons 2018 season set to get underway on Thursday night and with Atlanta hosting Super Bowl LIII the duo decided to put together a special remix of the hit with a lot of shout-outs to the Falcons.

According to atlantafalcons.com, it didn’t seem very tough for the Falcons to get Ludacris and Dupri on board to produce the hit.

“To be able to do a Falcons version of our hit song ‘Welcome to Atlanta’ is an opportunity of a lifetime,” Ludacris said. “Not just because we have a lasting impression and a timeless song that people identify with even coming to Atlanta, but now we have the opportunity to do the same thing for our team and the Falcons that we’ve been riding so long for.”

The Falcons open their season on Thursday night in Philadelphia against the Eagles in a rematch of last year’s NFC Divisional playoff game.
