Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers should really inquire about getting to play all of their games outdoors, because they're now 4-0 in Winter Classic games.

Monday, the Rangers and the Sabres battled it out on New Year's Day at Citi Field in the 2018 NHL Winter Classic. The Rangers continued their winning tradition, defeating the Sabres 3-2 in overtime to maintain their undefeated Winter Classic record.

While the game was about the battle for New York state, the battle in between the pipes was a duel between two Swedes, Lundqvist and Robin Lehner. Following the game Lundqvist reflected upon the first time he met a young Lehner in Gothenburg, Sweden.

15 years ago Lundqvist was still playing in Sweden in Gothenburg -- Lehner's hometown --  for Vastra Frolunda in the SEL, a team that Lehner would later suit up for as well. Who would've thought that the two would  ultimately cross paths again, representing two teams from the same state in an event like the Winter Classic. A pretty cool coincidence.
