The Johnny Manziel saga continues to take new twists and turns.

Wednesday, TSN's Farhan Lalji reported that the Ticats and Manziel are still far apart in contract negotiations, with the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner reportedly asking for an offer close to $500,000, and the team offering around $150,000 with minor incentives. After seeing the report, Manziel decided to personally respond with a simple, "nahhh."

When asked to clarify, Manziel did just that. Which in turn led to a back and forth between the quarterback and a number of fans who pressed him on why he thinks he is worth the salary that he is reportedly asking for.

Former CFLer Aaron Milton later chimed in with a perspective of his own, discussing the fact that the Ticats attendance numbers are already quite solid.

Quite clearly Manziel's not afraid to speak candidly, no matter who is directing questions at him. As for whether or not we'll end up seeing Manziel bring his brand of showmanship to the CFL in 2018, we will have to wait and see how this all plays out.
